Ahhh.....Crested Butte....'Colorado's Last Great Ski Town.' The namesake of our company and our home turf. There is a reason why Crested Butte is home to a vast array of world-class athletes and many of them are skiers. From World Extreme Skiing Champions, to Randonee Racers, Elk Mountain Grand Traverse winners, and home to ski movie legends Matchstick Productions, the Crested Butte backcountry is where it's at !!!

Crested Butte hosts (in our opinion) some of the best backcountry skiing in the state, if not the country. With 5 separate drainages offering hundreds of options a mere 10 minutes or less from town, you can ski for years and never hit every shot in the area. From open bowls, steep and secluded tree shots, to big alpine peaks and multi day tours, the Crested Butte backcountry has everything to offer.

Ask about backcountry ski or snowboarding tours to such popular areas as Red Lady Bowl, Red Lady Glades, Coney's Ridge, Snodgrass Mountain, or Gothic Mountain. Want to ski for multiple days and really immerse yourself in the backcountry? Let us take you on a multi-day hut trip to the small townsite of Gothic in the East River Valley, or to the semi-infamous Friends Hut just below Pearl Pass.

Thanks to partnerships with great outdoor gear manufacturers we can supply all our Crested Butte Area guests with a backpack, beacon, shovel, and probe from Mammut, and have Voile Slpit-Boards and skins in house for rent as well. Plus we have great relationships with such backcountry shops as The Alpineer in downtown Crested Butte and Thin Air Sports at the resort base area, where folks can outfit themselves with neccessary gear.
